Presented in association with Seattle Theatre Group
A thrilling part of OtB’s 15/16 Season, Betroffenheit returns to Seattle in a special co-presentation with Seattle Theatre Group. A word with no direct English translation that describes the shock and bewilderment experienced in the aftermath of a disaster, Betroffenheit touches on themes of loss, trauma, addiction, and recovery. This creation by two of Canada’s most celebrated companies is an innovative, boundary-stretching hybrid of theatre and dance. Betroffenheit received an Olivier Award for Best New Dance Production, one of the highest awards in the field, in April 2017.
